Membership of Kurahaupo
The Kurahaupo Trust aims to achieve a comprehensive settlement of all historic Treaty claims relating to Ngati Apa, Ngati Kuia or Rangitane for the benefit of future generations of Kurahaupo. Your membership of Kurahaupo is an important part of this settlement process and we urge you to participate by registering on the membership roll. If you are of Ngati Apa, Ngati Kuia or Rangitane descent you are a beneficiary of the Kurahaupo Trust and will be entitled to benefit from a Kurahaupo settlement. Your interests as a beneficiary of the Trust - and the interests of the Kurahaupo grouping as a whole - are best served by a large and united membership base. By registering as a Member of Kurahaupo you will ensure: • That the Kurahaupo membership roll is an accurate record of those whom the Kurahaupo Trust represents throughout the claim settlement process • That Kurahaupo is recognised as a significant and substantial grouping by the Crown and this is reflected in the settlement negotiated • That you receive regular communication from the Kurahaupo Trust about the Kurahaupo Treaty settlement developments • That you have the opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes associated with the claim settlement of Kurahaupo.
